INDIO—Catholic Charities San Bernardino-Riverside recently held its first free Personal Care Aide Employment Training at its office in Indio, California.

One of the main themes of Lent is reconciliation, which provides an opportune time for the faithful to reflect on their lives and recommit themselves to God.
“I like to look at Lent as a kind of ‘spring-cleaning.’ We have things in our closet that we have had for years and years,” said Father Pat O’Hagan, pastor at Holy Spirit, Hemet. “So, too, in our spiritual lives, there are things that we should have thrown out years ago, but it pains us to let it go.”
